Part 3

We wrapped up January with a midweek game against Everton who I'm still annoyed with from the injured goalkeeper loss earlier in the season. I am pleased to report that the boys didn't let me down.

Whilst we dominated them in all of the stats we made hard work of it and it took us till the 53rd minute for Eze to put us in the lead. Lerma then smashed in the second with twenty minutes left before Eze got the third and final goal through a penalty. Which went to VAR and the media are saying is dubious. That was the icing on the cake.
Also I want to point out that Olise is really starting to grow into that AMC role and had 6 key passes in the match.

February;
This was a frustrating month and saw us lose our unbeaten record. What's worse it was against Nottingham Forest. Not only did they take there chances after allowing us 65% possession. It also saw us lose our new starting right back Marshal-Rutty for several months absolutely gutted. Our best player again was Olise who had an assist and 4 key passes. He is loving the freedom in his new role.

Next up was our Rivals Brighton who we slapped silly with a 5-1 win, Ahamada was key in this win grabbing a POM performance with 2 goals and 3 key passes. That's a clean sweep on Brighton and the fans are delighted.

We then faced back to back trips to Manchester and it didn't go well. My young boys struggled to get going and was easily overpowered.

We did however manage to beat Hull in the FA Cup as expected with a slightly rotated side. Only to be drawn against Liverpool... Probably no cups for us this season. Excellent.

March;
Another tricky month starting with Chelsea coming to visit. Now with Nkunku back in the team and actually hit a bit of form. However the Chelsea fans must hate us and we are quickly becoming there bogey team, and there is no better feeling than "FMing" a rival.

Look at the state of that. Édouard absolutely clinical in this match. If we can get some more consistency from him he'd be lethal. The already established core of the team getting this done.

It's a funny game sometimes as next we played second from bottom Luton. Easy win right? Right?  Nope. We've seen this story before of course we got Fm'd. Only being good enough for a draw.

Not ideal as we now have a tricky run of games to finish off the month. With Aston villa in-between a Liverpool sandwich.

I've also been busy on the scouting and transfer market and agreed 5 deals for next season already but we'll get to that on the next update. Hopefully we'll have secured some kind of European football as we currently lie in 6th place and play all of the teams around us.
